Roblox users expect and deserve a modern, standardized and coherent user experience across all platforms we support (mobile, desktop, console, VR, web, etc.). The role of Director of Product, Consumer Frontend is to up-level Roblox UI both directly, with a Core UI team, and, indirectly, through capabilities provided by our Design Systems team. Your goal is to measurably raise the quality of our UI/UX across all surfaces, and unlock greater UI/UX capabilities for the company from a centralized, platform position.
You'll report to the Senior Director of Product for Apps. This role is based at HQ (no remote option open).
You will:
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Consumer Frontend team which consists of Core UI and Luau architecture and Design System with tooling teams.
- Be the leader for common UI paradigms in the Roblox Consumer Application, providing thought leadership on Roblox UI for both end users and Creators.
- Invest heavily in relationship building and stakeholder management in order to drive UI standardization and design system adoption.Â
- Help define what success looks like for your teams and measure their progress towards it.
- Personally PM critical projects when required (hands on PM skills as well as management experience required).
- Grow the PM skills of the team under you, hire when required, represent your team at external events with Creators.
- Communicate updates, milestones, and priorities effectively to stakeholders across the organization.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in user interface design and gaming to inform product decisions.
- Research and deploy AI to drive efficiency and innovation at scale.
You have:
- 10+ years of Product Management experience with expertise in shipping high-quality consumer products across multiple platforms.
- Experience defining, managing, or driving adoption of design systems, UI platforms or platform-wide UI changes.
- Expertise in navigating platform product development where internal engineers/designers are your primary customers.
- Deep experience in internal stakeholder management and alignment.
- Experience leading cross-functional execution with various teams including engineering, data science, design, marketing, partnerships, legal, and policy, to conceptualize, develop, test, and launch impactful UI changes.
- Experience running complex, platform-wide AB tests and managing resultant trade-off conversations.
- The ability to clearly communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels.
- Strong design sensibilities and a history of strong product to design working relationships.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers. Experience with Luau, similar languages, and/or the React framework would be beneficial but are not required.
- A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game UI or multi-platform UI delivery would be beneficial but is not a requirement.

- A Product leader with a history of delivering high quality UI/UX work either directly or through a design system.
- Experienced, with 10+ years of product management experience or equivalent and a history of delivering across multiple platforms at scale.
- Analytical, with experience running complex AB tests to conclusion.
- Design-orientated with a passion for high quality user experiences.
- An excellent communicator and documenter, with fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills. You're at home understanding and communicating an overarching vision at the 30k-foot level and diving into technical specifications, individual tradeoffs, and priorities.
- Entrepreneurial, having worked in a fast paced environment, with competing resources and priorities, through the product life cycle from planning, development, through to launch and continuing support. You love to get things done.
- Organized, understanding that the best way to build something great is through the joint efforts of many people.
