  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, supplier performance, and procurement records
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve material shortages, discrepancies, and supplier issues
  • Support vendor selection, negotiations, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, costs, and inventory-related records
  • Communicate proactively with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials

Requirements
  • 2+ years of purchasing experience within a technical manufacturing environment, ideally supporting custom machinery, OEM equipment, fabrication, machining, or engineered products
  • Experience purchasing mechanical components, fabricated parts, machined components, electrical components, or similar engineered products
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier management, and delivery tracking
  • Experience building and maintaining supplier relationships
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office preferred
