Location: Riverview Behavioral Health, 701 Arkansas, Blvd, Ste 300, Texarkana, AR 71854

Riverview Behavioral Health is a 62-bed inpatient hospital treating individuals suffering from a mental health primary diagnosis from ages twelve and up. Our treatment center is located in Texarkana, AR serving the greater southwest Arkansas region.

Riverview Behavioral Health offers a confidential, caring environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self awareness, social skills, and personal growth that is monitored in a safe environment 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

We are currently seeking to add a Full-Time, Inpatient Psychiatrist to our skilled and patient focused team. This role will see both Adults, and Child & Adolescent patients.

About the role:

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
