Location: Davie, FL
Employment Status: Full-Time, Permanent W2 | 10-Month Academic Calendar
At a Glance: Compensation, Schedule & Perks
  • Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 per year (Full-time W2, negotiated based on clinical tenure, specialty credentials, and interview outcome).
  • Academic Work Schedule: Enjoy a predictable 10-month school-year schedule with 2 full months off every summer. Includes all paid school breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break) when students are off-campus.
  • Work-Life Balance: Pure daytime schedule with NO nights, NO weekends, and NO on-call requirements.
  • Benefits Package: Full W2 health, dental, and vision insurance coverage; retirement savings options; and professional liability insurance support.
About the Campus & Role Overview
Located in Davie, FL, our partner's premier private school is dedicated to cultivating an exceptional learning environment where student wellness is prioritized. We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to lead campus health services.
In this role, you will oversee daily clinic operations, manage chronic pediatric conditions, and provide immediate triage in a low-stress, highly supportive private school environment. This is the ultimate career transition for an experienced pediatric NP or APRN ready to leave behind the exhausting shifts and high burnout of hospital healthcare.
Core Responsibilities
  • Campus Clinical Leadership: Oversee daily Health Center operations across all grade levels-providing primary clinical triage, first aid, emergency care, and ongoing health management.
  • Chronic Condition Management: Develop and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students navigating chronic diagnoses (e.g., severe allergies, Type 1 diabetes, asthma, seizure disorders), ensuring safe medication administration.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Records: Enforce full compliance with Florida Department of Health and Board of Education standards, maintaining confidential medical histories, immunization files, and state-mandated health screenings.
  • Emergency Care Readiness: Direct campus emergency health responses, maintaining immediate readiness for acute injuries or sudden illnesses.
  • Multidisciplinary Liaison: Act as the primary medical advocate connecting parents, school administrators, faculty, and local pediatricians to champion student well-being.

Minimum Prerequisites
  • State Licensure: Active, unencumbered Florida license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in good standing.
  • Pediatric Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of dedicated experience treating pediatric populations in a clinical, pediatric practice, urgent care, or educational environment.
  • Mandatory Certifications:
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR Certification.
    • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
  • Clearances: Ability to pass a Florida Level 2 background screening and pre-employment drug panel required for educational staff.
Preferred Attributes
  • Gentle, patient demeanor paired with exceptional interpersonal skills tailored for young children and parents.
  • Strong organizational capability to manage student medical files, action plans, and state reporting.
  • Decisive, calm triage capabilities in acute clinical situations.
