INTRODUCTION:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Addiction and Behavioral Health Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider to deliver evidence-based, patient centered client care. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with physicians and peers to provide top-tier addiction medicine to our clients. As a member of our Rimrock team, you will assess, diagnose, and treat clients with substance use and mental health disorders. JOB SUMMARY:
Provide health exams and related medical services to Rimrock's clients under supervision of Rimrock's Medical Director. Assures adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock's mission to the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Conduct comprehensive substance use and behavioral health evaluations and follow-up visits.
  2. Diagnose and manage substance use and behavioral health disorders within the scope of licensure and training.3.Prompt and accurate documentation of clinical encounters in EHR meeting all compliance and regulatory requirements.
  3. Collaborate with supervisors, clinicians and other team members to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  4. Prescribes and orders medication as indicated for all admitted clients for medication administration.
  5. Medication management including MOUD (medications for opioid use disorder) when appropriate
  6. Maintains records according to Rimrock, State, Federal and CARF standards. Maintain required compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory organizations
  7. Assures that clients are screened for infectious diseases.
  8. Provides consultation and education to staff as needed.
  9. Conducts medication or other health-related groups and educational lectures as scheduled for staff and clients.
  10. Actively participates in case coordination, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings.
  11. Provides health screening for clients admitted to the Medical Withdrawal Unit.
  12. Provides evaluations, medications and follow-up services to clients with co-occurring disorders when scheduled.
  13. Provides primary care in an outpatient setting.
  14. Provider will participate in call rotation schedule.
  15. Provides Office Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) medication compliance and follow up care.
  16. Chart review as required by licensing board or Rimrock policies-no less than 10%
  17. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: BS Degree, Master of Physician Assistant Studies Degree or Masters Level Nurse Practitioner. Maintains CME requirements of licensing board. Experience in addiction treatment, psychiatry, primary care with behavioral health or a related field is required.
Eligibility to prescribe buprenorphine for MOUD. Commitment to evidence-based, person centered and recovery-oriented care.
CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE: Licensed in State of Montana or meets eligibility for Montana licensure for Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider.
SKILLS: Candidate must collaborate well within a team, have empathy and the ability to work with diverse clients in multiple settings. The ability to organize and maintain personal schedule, excellent writing and strong communication skills, computer skills, including medical documentation in electronic health records and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and client care areas. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Will work primarily at Main Facility.
