Position Overview

The Right Perception Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our thriving outpatient mental health clinic based in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly evidence-based care through synchronous live video sessions, connecting with adults dealing with a range of emotional and mental health disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatric providers and fellow therapists, participating in case consultations to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Utilize automatically administered symptom self-assessments, functional improvement metrics, and goal progress measures to inform and adjust individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation using our intuitive therapist portal, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide therapy to individuals aged 13 and older and couples, employing various evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and emotionally focused therapy (EFT).
  • Commit to measurement-based care, regularly reviewing patient outcomes and treatment efficacy.
  • As part of our supportive community, seek guidance and supervision from the Therapy Leadership Team as needed.
  • Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines and security protocols to safeguard patient confidentiality and health information.
  • Create and document comprehensive assessments and treatment plans that reflect your patients' needs and progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a varied population, encompassing clients experiencing conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and relationship challenges. We prioritize personalized care tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering a therapeutic alliance that empowers individuals to achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field is required.
  • Valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Proficiency in working independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in mental health counseling or therapy, particularly in an outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and platforms, with a track record of delivering effective remote therapy.
  • Experience utilizing measurement-based care and patient outcome assessments.
