Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Ridgeview Counseling Center, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting detailed assessments of clients, developing individualized treatment plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, as well as providing individual counseling for each partner to address specific concerns.
  • Specializing in family-focused therapy, working to resolve issues such as conflicts among family members, blended family challenges, and adjustment difficulties post-separation or divorce.
  • Addressing various concerns including alcohol abuse, grief and loss, job stress, and communication difficulties within families.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to track progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Documenting all client interactions and maintaining comprehensive records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participating in regular team meetings to exchange insights and strategies that enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve clients from diverse backgrounds, including adults and children/adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. The therapist will work closely with families to create cohesive treatment plans that address the emotional and psychological needs of all family members, focusing on enhancing their overall mental health and stability.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic patient care.
Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those who have:

  • Previous experience in an outpatient mental health setting.
