The Position: Human Resources Administrator
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruits for open positions and facilitates new hire orientation according to company policy.
- Verifies all employee timecards prior to payroll to ensure that all timecards have been approved and all PTO requests have been processed. Escalate non-approved timecards and PTO to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintains the company’s HR systems including but not limited to entering new pay rates, adjusting employee records and maintaining employees’ direct deposit information.
- Manages the company’s timekeeping system including the assignment of supervisors, employee groups and schedule maintenance.
- Maintains employee records in the electronic benefit system and assist in troubleshooting as applicable.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and open enrollment as needed.
- Acts as a liaison between staffing agencies and active temporary workers and communicates with either party for employment related inquiries as applicable.
- Acts as a primary contact for employees for all administrative inquiries including benefit, handbook and policy questions.
- Maintains all personnel files and training records.
- Maintains training schedule and certifications as needed.
- Publishes approved employee announcements and communication on behalf of the company via the appropriate communication channels.
- Prepares, executes and finalizes internal and external paperwork such as FMLA paperwork, benefit enrollment paperwork and doctor’s notes.
- Reports monthly KPIs, sends other reports as assigned.
- Strategic projects as assigned.
- Travel up to 20%.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex matters in an easily understandable manner to different audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills such as active listening and empathy with the ability to relate to individuals from different backgrounds and situations.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of human resource disciplines, including managing leave of absence and employee relations.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a Human Resources role.
- Professional experience in a manufacturing industry is desired but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
