This full-time position plays a pivotal role in our orthopedic outpatient clinic, where you will be instrumental in shaping the recovery journeys of diverse patient populations.

Work Environment

The work setting is an outpatient office located in Tampa, where you will work alongside a team of skilled physical therapists and support staff. The clinic has a welcoming atmosphere designed to foster productive interaction between patients and clinicians. This onsite role operates under standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in collaborative consultations with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, recognizing and documenting any changes in patient conditions that necessitate adjustments to treatment plans.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in executing treatment protocols tailored to individual patient evaluations, adapting approaches based on patient presentations and ongoing feedback to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Conduct thorough evaluations, including detailed reviews of patient histories and specific assessments, while providing clear, precise recommendations based on your findings.

  • Manage discharge planning and follow-up processes effectively, ensuring timely and accurate documentation that reflects a thorough understanding of each patient's care trajectory, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries.

  • Complete all required training in corporate and clinical services while maintaining compliance with state, local, and federal regulations governing physical therapy practices.

  • Evaluate, treat, and direct the therapeutic process for patients who require physical therapy treatment, maintaining a clear, objective documentation of medical necessity for the services provided.

  • Maintain respectful and open communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party insurers to facilitate effective care delivery.

  • Attend team meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as directed, contributing to clinic operations and strategic initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients primarily within the orthopedic spectrum, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, chronic pain, and mobility issues. Your efforts will be focused on improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life, using evidence-based practices to tailor treatment plans that align with their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications
  • Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.

  • Possess an active and valid physical therapy license in the State of Florida.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, specifically within an outpatient clinic setting, is preferred for candidates to demonstrate effective patient management skills.

Compensation and Benefits
