The Restaurant Line Cook plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality culinary experiences within a dynamic kitchen environment. Working closely with a medium-sized team, the Line Cook is responsible for food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining kitchen sanitation under the guidance of the Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, and Sous Chef. This position demands strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Plate dishes with attention to presentation and portion control
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
• Control food quality and consistency throughout service
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate effectively with fellow cooks and kitchen staff
• Set up and organize workstations for efficient food production
• Minimize food waste through proper handling and storage techniques
• Demonstrate proficient knife skills for preparation tasks

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in culinary preparation
• ServSafe certification
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Excellent knife skills and cooking techniques
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities
• Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
• High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
