Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Checking that the Concrete Production levels are maintained safely to schedule.
  • Writing development proposals and reports.
  • Managing staff.
  • Balancing sales and output.
  • Ensuring that key government health and safety legislation is implemented throughout the sites.
  • Performance managing the production process and setting and monitoring targets.
  • Providing the company and corporation with information and statistics on ready-mix concrete performance.
  • Managing and regulating the ready-mix concrete budget.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and dealing with a range of paperwork.
  • Developing inspection systems and checklists.
  • Managing multiple programs as needed in RMX (Command, NRMCA, SilverFlume, Smart Tank, Etc.).
  • Undertaking regular site inspections and risk assessments in order to comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Quarterly Safety Meetings.
  • Onboarding, Separations, Wage increases, Write-Ups, etc.
  • Procedures and process accountability.
  • Examining the materials produced to ensure that a high quality of product is maintained.
  • Closely monitoring all areas of the RMX Plants to ensure that operations and production is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Assessing equipment and inventory materials levels.
  • Performing monthly inventories at each location accurately and efficiently.
  • Capturing and performing monthly usage reports.
  • Keeping all permits and inspections up to date (Truck & Plant).
  • Checking that all vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard.
  • Ordering new items as required.
  • Ensuring all staff is properly trained for all equipment and work areas needed.
  • Continually inspecting and maintaining site in accordance with OSHA rules and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Class A CDL with required endorsements preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma Preferred. ACI or other coursework in concrete and or batch plant operation preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, and methods, dispatching drivers, and delegating duties to others.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair skills, accurate math skills.
  • Accurate Record keeping skills is a must.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office - specifically Excel, Batch System software experience preferred.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and ability to prioritize based on the business needs.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
