Job description

Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a fulltime/perm Human Resources Generalist to support a broad range of HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, attendance management, performance management, and HR administration.


Location: Belleville


Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation activities.
  • Support employee relations, performance management, investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Administer attendance management, disability claims, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain employee records, HR systems, and reporting while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Support payroll, benefits, compensation, and employee inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, employee engagement, training, and organizational development initiatives.


Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a Generalist role.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, attendance management, and HR administration.
  • Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act (ESA).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Manufacturing experience and/or CHRP designation is considered an asset.
