Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will encompass a range of critical functions:

  • Conduct thorough assessments for adult clients to determine their mental health needs, ensuring a comprehensive approach that considers their unique backgrounds and circumstances.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing diverse therapeutic modalities, tailoring each session to meet the needs of the participants.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans collaboratively with clients, incorporating their feedback and actively engaging them in the goal-setting process.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary, utilizing de-escalation techniques and immediate support strategies to assist clients in distress.
  • Maintain precise, confidential records of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with ethical standards and organizational protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and engaging with current literature in mental health, ensuring the highest standards of practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of adult clients who may be facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or eligibility for licensure in Washington State.
  • Active registration with the relevant professional body and possession of appropriate professional liability insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments and perform report writing for diverse client groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Strong commitment to ethical practice, showcasing clinical judgment and decision-making skills that reflect professionalism.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience in teletherapy or remote counseling practices.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Previous work in outpatient settings, with demonstrated success in client engagement and retention.
Compensation and Benefits
