Rentals To Go was founded in Norwich, New York in 2000 as a portable toilet business. Today our business includes offices in Texas, Florida, and several branches across Upstate New York. We have done business across the United States and expanded our services to much more than portable toilets to include portable: bunk houses, campers, flushable restroom trailers, laundry facilities, mobile command centers, light towers, refrigeration units, water storage containers, temporary fencing, and generators.

Join Our Team as a Mechanic!
Job Overview:
We're looking for a skilled, reliable, and motivated Mechanic who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, working with your hands, and keeping equipment and vehicles running at peak performance, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of machinery, equipment, and vehicles. You'll use your technical expertise to identify issues, perform preventative maintenance, and complete repairs that keep our operations running safely and efficiently.
We're looking for someone who is experienced with mechanical systems, comfortable using diagnostic equipment and hand and power tools, and committed to producing quality work. The ideal candidate values teamwork pays close attention to detail, and always prioritizes safety while delivering dependable, long-lasting repairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover
  • functionality issues
  • Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
  • Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
  • Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
  • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
  • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
  • Keep logs of work and report on issues
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
  • Proven experience as Mechanic
  • Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Automotive repair 1 year (Preferred)

Skills:
  • Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.)
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
  • A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
  • Very good communication skills
  • A problem-solving ability

Work Location: This position will be based at our headquarters in Norwich, NY 13815 and is not a
remote position.
