We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, along with performance-based bonuses.

About the Organization

At Renewed Roots Mental Health, we pride ourselves on our commitment to transforming the lives of individuals, couples, and families facing mental health challenges. Our community health clinic in Long Beach, California, is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to a diverse population. We specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and more. Our mission is to ensure accessible mental health care for all backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment where healing and growth can flourish.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fully remote setting, reflecting our dedication to flexibility for both our clients and staff. We use a variety of digital platforms and telehealth technologies to maintain effective communication and provide therapy sessions. This modern approach not only accommodates our clients’ busy lives but also expands our reach to those in need of assistance beyond traditional geographical limitations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand clients’ mental health challenges and strengths, enabling the development of effective treatment strategies.
  • Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, applying evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
  • Develop and personalize treatment plans, establishing clear, achievable goals and interventions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
  • Collaborate actively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to streamline and optimize client care, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Offer crisis intervention services, including safety planning and risk assessments, to support clients in acute distress. Draw upon your clinical expertise to make critical decisions in challenging situations.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records and documentation in accordance with professional ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
  • Lead group therapy sessions and psychoeducation workshops to promote community healing and enhance individual therapeutic experiences.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse client base that includes individuals, couples, and families from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will engage with clients experiencing a wide array of mental health challenges, focusing on fostering resilience, emotional growth, and improving overall psychological well-being. Your ability to connect with clients and tailor treatment approaches to their distinct needs will be pivotal in their journey towards recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • An active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Strong knowledge of various evidence-based therapeutic modalities and their applications in clinical settings.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on effective client engagement and empathy.
  • Proficient assessment skills to evaluate client needs and measure treatment progress.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health or outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Experience working within community clinics or with diverse populations will be viewed favorably.
  • Prior knowledge of telehealth practices and relevant software is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

Alongside a competitive salary, Renewed Roots Mental Health offers a range of benefits designed to support your well-being and professional development, including:

  • Comprehensive health insurance, covering medical, dental, and vision needs.
  • Employer-matched retirement plans to help you secure a financially sound future.
  • Ample paid time off, including vacation days, personal time, and holidays.
  • Continuing education opportunities and training programs to enhance your clinical competencies and stay current in the field.
  • Liability insurance coverage, protecting you in your professional practice.
