About Remote Area Medical
Headquartered in Rockford, Tennessee, Remote Area Medical - RAM® is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free quality healthcare to those in need. RAM accomplishes its mission by operating mobile clinics offering a combination of dental, vision, and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals.
The Clinic Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Clinic Coordinator and serves on the Operations Team.
Job Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain healthy strategic relationships with direct supervisor, personnel,volunteers and partners that would benefit department and organizational objectives
  • Maintain a constructive team unison with the Volunteer and Communications Team to execute the mission of RAM by working closely with the assigned Volunteer Coordinator and Communications Team members
  • Train, support and serve the Community Host Group leadership in fulfilling their functions and objectives which include but are not limited to pre-clinic (i.e. site inspection), during clinic (i.e.clinic operations) and post clinic support (i.e. CHG debrief)
  • Assist in mobilizing, recruiting, securing and serving Community Host Groups, volunteers and health care professionals; recording data as needed, building necessary reports as directed fromclinic operations
  • Recommend program opportunities, processes, procedures, policies, methods to improverelations, and functions of department objectives
  • Supervise and act as the point person at all assigned clinic events, activities and operations over all staff regardless of internal organizational command structure
  • Maintain familiarity with clinic event concepts, practices, and procedures; excel in relationship building and clinic execution; oversee all clinic events as the manager of the clinic
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks as directed by the department head
  • Perform tasks and duties as directed by your Management Team

Job Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Frequent overnight travel to clinic sites required.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 20lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive RAM vehicles
  • Must be proficient in verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills
