The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership while driving financial performance, guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and market share. The ideal candidate will bring proven full-service hotel leadership experience, strong financial acumen, experience leading group and banquet operations, and a track record of building high-performing teams focused on service excellence and results.

Position Overview:The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and financial performance of Omaha Marriott. This role is expected to meet all company standards and lead Remington Hospitality's Five Key Drivers while ensuring operational excellence across the hotel's 300 guestrooms, food and beverage operations, and approximately 12,982 square feet of meeting and event space. The General Manager will foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, associate engagement, and continuous improvement while driving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, profitability, and asset value.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5)+ years of General Manager experience in a full-service hotel environment.
  • Strong background in associate engagement, leadership development, and accountability-driven management.
  • Proven success driving financial performance, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence.
  • Experience managing hotels with significant group, catering, banquet, and meeting space revenue.
  • Experience leading properties with 10,000+ square feet of meeting and event space, including group sales, catering, banquet operations, and convention business.
  • Strong banquet, catering, and food & beverage experience.
  • Proven ability to drive guest satisfaction and service culture (GSS).
  • Demonstrated success building team engagement, accountability, leadership development, and associate morale.
  • Proficiency with ProfitSword, M3, and similar hotel financial reporting systems.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control.
  • Marriott brand experience preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Practice a culture of guest service in all you do; promote courtesy, good will and a positive attitude in each and every encounter.
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction.
  • Coordinate special programs, functions and incentives to improve guest service.
  • Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow associates.
  • Effectively lead the Executive Committee to reach the goals of the property.
  • Develop and assure achievement of hotel revenues and profits, utilizing forecasting, P&L management, RevPAR.
  • Ensure the property is compliant in all departments, growing the business year over year.
  • Ensure product quality is of a level to allow future bookings of room nights, banquet sales and food & beverage to achieve increasing pricing goals as warranted to maximize revenue.
  • Coach and develop leaders to exceed performance expectations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or related business field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Rooms and/or Food & Beverage functions
  • Strong business communication skills verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to lead team at leadership and hourly level
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite
  • Some travel may be required
  • Regular attendance according to established guidelines
  • Proven record of commitment and professionalism in meeting the challenges and pressures of a 24-hour, 7-day a week operation
