Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant at Reinforce Physical Therapy, you will work onsite in our hospital facility located in Long Beach, CA. Our modern therapy space is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technology designed to support effective patient treatment. We have a friendly and professional atmosphere that fosters teamwork and communication among staff while focusing intently on patient-centered care. You will be scheduled for a Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, or 8 AM to 4 PM working day, giving you a solid work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in performing comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine patients' physical capabilities and personal rehabilitation goals.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists to help patients increase mobility, strength, and overall functional abilities.
  • Utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to support recovery from musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
  • Communicate effectively and frequently with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, ensuring a unified approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and discharge recommendations in alignment with regulatory guidelines and company policies, ensuring quality assurance.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills, including pursuing advanced certifications in relevant therapeutic areas.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Our clientele ranges from young athletes to older adults seeking to regain function and mobility. Your work will directly contribute to improved patient outcomes, aiding them in achieving their rehabilitation goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current California PTA license and AAS PTA degree required.
  • Strong clinical skills and a solid understanding of orthopedic conditions and treatment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions and teamwork.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an orthopedic setting, demonstrating hands-on treatment capabilities and patient management.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
