Float Registered Nurse - Float Staffing Pool

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Midnight Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every third weekend, with some flexibility, and one summer and one winter holiday

LOCATION: Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital

Role Overview

As an RN in the Float Staffing Pool, you¿ll provide direct nursing care across various departments, adapting to the unique needs of each patient and unit. You¿ll support multidisciplinary teams, coordinate patient care, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate healthcare. Your role is critical in maintaining flexibility and continuity of care across our network.

What You Will Do

• Implement and monitor patient care plans in accordance with established policies and protocols.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate patient care with members of the healthcare team for well-coordinated treatment.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assess patient care needs and collaborate with the healthcare team to address them effectively.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
• ACLS Acute Care Life Support for Critical Care applicants

Preferred Experience

• RN 2 year hospital with telemetry experience
• Critical care applicants require 2 year ICU experience and ACLS

Float pool nurses need to be flexible, quick learners, and able to work effectively in different healthcare environments, as they may encounter diverse patient populations and conditions during their shifts.
