This role is responsible for providing live and recorded instructional sessions covering the Texas CNA curriculum, coordinating clinical placements in long-term care facilities, and ensuring students achieve the necessary training and licensure requirements. The consultant will oversee PACE CNA campus proctors, maintain compliance with Texas Administrative Code for program documentation, and facilitate training for CNA licensure eligibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Active Nursing License required; RN or LVN License Required
- Five years of nursing or community health experience
- Oral and written communication for the educational community
- Ability to present staff development; student lessons
- Technology skills to complete job requirements
- One year of experience providing long term care in a nursing facility
Program Planning/Organization Skills
- Utilizes a variety of assessment techniques to research needs and identify resources.
- Develops objectives to meet assessed needs.
- Relates component objectives to center-wide goals and demonstrates cooperation with other components.
- Maintains documentation of component services.
- Evaluates the extent to which project objectives have been met to determine future direction.

- Provide live or pre-recorded lectures, skills practice and assignments covering the Texas Curriculum for Nurse Aides in Long Term Care Facilities as required by Texas Health and Human Services to schools who are participating in the PACE CNA program.
- Collaborate with local long term care facilities who are willing to accommodate PACE CNA students to achieve the required clinical hours for CNA licensure in Texas.
- Coordinate local long term facilities and partnering school districts to enact PACE CNA MOUs for program participation.
- Directly perform training and provide general supervision of all PACE CNA campus proctors and supplemental trainers.
- Ensure that NATCEP records generated from enrollment in PACE CNA are maintained as per Texas Administrative Code Title 26 Part 1 Chapter 556
- Determine if trainees (PACE CNA students) have passed both the classroom and clinical training portions of the NATCEP and are eligible to sit for the state CNA exam sign a competency evaluation application completed by a trainee (PACE CNA student) who has passed both the classroom and clinical training portions of the NATCEP; and sign a certificate of completion or a letter on letterhead stationary of the NATCEP stating that the trainee (PACE CNA student) passed both the classroom and clinical training portions of the NATCEP.
- Direct the NATCEP (PACE CNA program) in compliance with the Texas Administrative Code Title 26 Part 1 Chapter 556 Rule 556.5
- Provide technical assistance as needed for PACE CNA proctors and campus administrators including sharing materials and lessons the students have been assigned and making classroom visits to practice skills.
- Demonstrates professional courtesy during personal interaction with LEA, students, and District/ESC Staff.
- Displays an attitude of personal and professional concern in group and individual settings.
- Demonstrates willingness to collaborate with other staff members.
- Seeks training and provides up-to-date information for improving student health outcomes.
