Job description

The Label Preparation Associate is responsible for accurately preparing and printing labels used in the final packaging of finished products while ensuring compliance with established procedures and quality requirements. This role also supports finished-product packaging and warehouse activities to promote efficient execution of daily manufacturing operations and alignment with company objectives and values. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive information with appropriate confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with established safety and housekeeping requirements.
  • Comply with all applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), departmental procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Perform label printing activities for final product packaging in accordance with the established production schedule and complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Provide labeling support for existing products, including preparation, printing, verification, and related activities as required.
  • Adhere to established daily production schedules and recommend opportunities to optimize workflow in support of cost, quality, delivery, and service objectives.
  • Identify and document product, process, equipment, or quality system issues in accordance with established procedures.
  • Initiate, recommend, and support appropriate solutions and corrective actions through designated communication and escalation channels.
  • Support packaging, warehouse, and other finished product activities as required to meet operational needs.
  • Participate in special projects, continuous improvement activities, and other assignments as directed.

  • Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing job duties, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 50 pounds.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This position does not currently supervise others.

    Education, Experience, and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 02+ years’ experience preferably in medical device, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Experience in GMP, ISO, and FDA controlled environments preferred but not required
  • ERP software experience preferred but not required
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a team environment and respond well to feedback
  • Must possess organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Adapts to changing priorities and schedules
  • Experience with label design software applications preferred
  • Basic computer skills are required
