Server

Job Summary: Are you a high-energy people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and happens to love pizza? (Honestly, who doesn't?) As a Server at Red Lodge Pizza Co., you aren't just delivering food-you're the master of ceremonies for an awesome dining experience. Whether you're high-fiving our local regulars or welcoming tourists fresh off the trail, your mission is to dish out energetic, friendly, and efficient service with a side of genuine Montana hospitality.

Essential Job Duties Include the following: other duties may be assigned:

Operational Support:

  • Guest Interaction: Greets customers warmly upon arrival or when answering the phone, and provides an engaging, friendly introduction to the menu.
  • Order Management: Accurately records guest orders and utilizes the POS system to ensure timely and correct communication with the kitchen and bar.
  • Service Excellence: Manages the pace of the meal, ensures drinks are replenished, and handles special dietary requests or allergies with care.
  • Opening/Closing: Performs all required shift procedures and checklists to ensure the restaurant is prepared for the next service.
  • Compliance: Adheres to all sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies (RASS) to protect guests and the company.

Dining Area Maintenance:

  • Atmosphere Upkeep: Prepares the dining room and banquet spaces by cleaning tables and arranging condiments, napkins, and utensils.
  • Team Collaboration: Assists the FOH Support team with pre-bussing, clearing tables, and performing silverware roll-ups or laundry as needed.

Operational Readiness:

  • Professional Development: Attends staff meetings and training sessions to refine service skills and product knowledge.
  • Communication: Employees must be accessible via cell phone and/or email for scheduling and human resources applications.

Skills and Qualifications: Hospitality Mindset

  • Character: Engaging, friendly, and honest; demonstrates a consistently positive and dependable attitude.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to manage multiple tables and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a calm, friendly demeanor in a high-volume setting.
  • Communication: Strong verbal skills for effective team coordination and guest interaction.

Experience/Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred (or currently enrolled).
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, casual dining environment is preferred.
  • RASS Certification required (or ability to obtain).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to walk, stand, reach, and carry trays. Must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds and frequently use stairs.
  • Work Environment: A high-energy, fast-paced restaurant environment with frequent guest interaction.
  • Schedule: Requires the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night hours.
