About the Role
Are you a technical expert in welding automation with a talent for driving sales growth? Red-D-Arc is looking for a Robotics Product Manager to lead the strategy, sales growth, and rental expansion of our flexible automation products.
Reporting directly to the Director of Automation & Cobots, you will be the commercial and technical champion for the BotX robotic welding system within the manufacturing sector. You will bridge the gap between advanced technology and hands-on sales, working closely with regional teams and our parent company, Airgas, to deliver cutting-edge collaborative robot (cobot) solutions to our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Sales & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to grow equipment rentals and sales for the BotX product line across the manufacturing market.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Airgas Advanced Fabrication team for joint customer visits, work with Red-D-Arc District Managers on localized sales plans, and collaborate with Regional VPs to establish strategic stocking "Hub" locations.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert on advanced welding and plasma cutting applications integrated into cobot systems.
- Training & Development: Create and lead comprehensive product and application training programs for Red-D-Arc and Airgas specialists, sales reps, and technicians.
- Data & ROI Optimization: Analyze welding and production data from BotX users, and integrate these analytics into the Airgas Hidden Cost of Welding program to prove clear ROI to customers.
- Fleet & Performance Management: Partner with fleet management and district teams to monitor equipment utilization, pricing, and overall ROI metrics.
- Stakeholder & Marketing Support: Align internal and external stakeholders on the product roadmap, and assist the VP of Sales & Marketing with targeted campaigns, positioning, and marketing collateral.
- Reporting & Safety: Maintain accurate regional forecasts, business plans, and pipeline updates while ensuring a 100% safe working environment by adhering to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Expertise: Advanced technical understanding of welding and plasma cutting applications within collaborative robotics (cobot) systems.
- Sales Proven Track Record: A strong background in sales, business development, or product management within the industrial, welding, or automation space.
- Core Skills: Excellent communication, planning, and relationship management skills to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to collate production data and translate it into actionable commercial strategies and customer ROI.
- Safety First: A strict commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
