Production Manager

Location: Comer, Georgia

Shift: First Shift

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced composites production environment serving automotive, medical, and defense industries.

This role is responsible for leading production teams, driving operational efficiency, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to drive performance in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved
• Supervise and support production supervisors, leads, and manufacturing employees
• Monitor production schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet customer demands
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scrap reduction, and process optimization
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures
• Analyze production data, downtime, and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues
• Support employee training, development, and performance management activities
• Assist with production planning, scheduling, and inventory control activities
• Lead problem-solving efforts and implement corrective actions when production or quality concerns arise
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment
• Support launch activities, process changes, and operational growth initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience within automotive, composites, plastics, or industrial manufacturing preferred
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, and manufacturing operations
• Experience managing teams in a high-volume production environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems preferred
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles preferred
