Qualified Addiction Specialist (NP/APRN)
Department: Provider - Medical Job Status: Full-Time Rate of Pay: $158,000.00 - $168,800.00 Annually Position Type: Full-Time Status: Accepting Applications
Position Description
Are you passionate about supporting individuals in their recovery from substance use disorders and making a meaningful impact in integrated behavioral health care? We are seeking a Qualified Addiction Specialist to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to dually diagnosed individuals. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and support recovery while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated medical, mental health, and substance use treatment across the site.
What You'll Do
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for individuals with substance use disorders.
• Develop and deliver alcohol and other drug education, counseling, and treatment services.
• Collaborate with medical and detoxification staff to ensure integrated, holistic care.
• Participate in treatment planning, discharge planning, care continuity, and aftercare coordination.
• Track and document program participation and prepare required substance use disorder reports for administrative and supervisory teams.
• Provide consultation, training, and support to staff regarding substance use disorders.
• Ensure all services are delivered in alignment with compliance requirements, accreditation standards, and client expectations.
What We're Looking For
Education
• PA, NP, or APRN from an accredited university (required)
Experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in addictions (required)
Licensure & Certifications
• Current licensure as a PA or NP in the state of practice (required)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry (required)
• Current DEA certification (required)
• Any client-mandated certifications and/or training (required)
