Position Overview

Rebound Physical Therapy, located in the vibrant community of Lakeland, Florida, is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our full-time team. As a vital member of our rehabilitation staff, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care by implementing customized therapeutic treatment plans designed to improve patient mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Work Environment

This full-time position operates in an onsite hospital facility in Lakeland, Florida. Our clinic fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment where every team member contributes to delivering high-quality care. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, we value flexibility to accommodate patient needs and clinic operations. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and accessible treatment areas designed to enhance the therapeutic experience.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties will be integral to your role as a Physical Therapist Assistant:

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans that focus on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functionality.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and relevant activities to promote physical well-being and alleviate pain.
  • Educate patients regarding proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, and develop tailored home exercise programs that facilitate recovery.
  • Administer various modalities, under the supervision of Physical Therapists, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy to aid in patient recovery.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion improvements, strength gains, and overall functional status.
  • Prepare treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for efficient therapy sessions.
  • Engage with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a motivating atmosphere for goal achievement.
  • Uphold professional and ethical standards, valuing patient confidentiality and the rights of all individuals in your care.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits

Rebound Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 50,000 – 65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and skills. In addition to salary, we provide:
