Job description

Overview
The WiFi Channel Manager will lead the development and execution of the enterprise go-to-market strategy for RealPage's managed WiFi channel across regions and customer segments.
This is a net-new business-building role responsible for establishing the strategy, operating model, partner ecosystem, commercial framework, and execution plan required to scale the managed WiFi business. The role will work across Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to align the organization around a unified WiFi channel strategy and drive measurable revenue growth.
Unlike a traditional channel-management role focused primarily on maintaining an established partner portfolio, this position will build the channel from the ground up. The individual will define how RealPage brings managed WiFi solutions to market, identify and develop strategic partnerships, establish repeatable sales motions, and create the foundation for a future channel organization.
The role will begin as a senior individual-contributor position and is expected to evolve into a team-leadership role as the business reaches defined growth and scale milestones.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Channel Strategy
  • Own and lead the enterprise-wide strategy for the managed WiFi channel across multiple regions, markets, and customer segments.
  • Establish the long-term vision, strategic priorities, growth objectives, and execution roadmap for the WiFi channel.
  • Translate company and business-unit priorities into a coordinated channel strategy that supports revenue growth, customer adoption, and market expansion.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the channel through new partners, routes to market, customer segments, and geographic regions.
  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor to leadership on the managed WiFi channel, including market opportunities, investment priorities, competitive positioning, and growth risks.

Go-to-Market Leadership
  • Define and lead the go-to-market model for managed WiFi solutions, including segmentation, positioning, partner strategy, sales motions, commercial frameworks, and market-entry plans.
  • Establish repeatable and scalable processes for channel development, partner engagement, opportunity management, pipeline creation, and revenue conversion.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop channel-specific demand-generation, enablement, and customer-acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product leadership to ensure market, customer, and partner insights inform the managed WiFi product roadmap and solution strategy.
  • Develop business cases, launch plans, and growth initiatives that support expansion of the managed WiFi offering.

Business Building and Operating Model
  • Build the operating framework for the managed WiFi channel, including governance, performance management, partner engagement, internal accountabilities, and decision-making processes.
  • Establish the metrics, reporting, and operating cadence used to evaluate channel performance, pipeline health, revenue growth, partner productivity, and market penetration.
  • Identify organizational, operational, and technology requirements needed to scale the business.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives required to launch and expand the channel, resolving barriers and aligning stakeholders across business units.
  • Create documented playbooks, processes, and standards that enable the channel to scale consistently across regions.

Partner and Market Development
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and develop strategic relationships with technology providers, service providers, resellers, integrators, and other channel partners.
  • Create differentiated partner value propositions and engagement models that support mutual growth.
  • Develop executive-level relationships with key partners and represent RealPage in strategic partner discussions.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and changes in the managed WiFi ecosystem to guide strategic decisions.
  • Assess potential partnerships and market opportunities based on financial potential, strategic alignment, customer value, and execution feasibility.

Commercial and Financial Ownership
  • Own the channel revenue plan, pipeline strategy, forecasting process, and performance against defined growth targets.
  • Develop financial models and business cases for channel investments, partnerships, market expansion, and growth initiatives.
  • Recommend pricing, incentive, partner-compensation, and commercial structures in partnership with Sales, Finance, and Product leadership.
  • Track performance against revenue, profitability, adoption, and market-expansion objectives.
  • Present channel performance, strategic recommendations, risks, and investment needs to senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional teams responsible for developing, launching, and scaling the managed WiFi channel.
  • Align Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success around shared priorities and execution plans.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions across organizational boundaries without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Act as the central point of accountability for the managed WiFi channel strategy and go-to-market plan.
  • Communicate progress, priorities, risks, and required decisions clearly to executive and functional leadership.

Future Team Leadership
  • Develop the organizational plan for a dedicated managed WiFi channel team as the business scales.
  • Define future roles, capabilities, resource requirements, and hiring priorities based on channel growth and operating needs.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of future team members.
  • Assume direct leadership responsibility for the channel organization once approved growth and scale milestones are reached.
  • Build a high-performing culture centered on accountability, collaboration, market expertise, and measurable business outcomes.

Scope and Impact
  • Enterprise-wide ownership of the managed WiFi channel strategy.
  • Multi-region responsibility across relevant markets and customer segments.
  • Accountability for building a net-new channel and go-to-market capability.
  • Significant influence over product strategy, commercial strategy, partner strategy, and market expansion.
  • Ownership of channel revenue goals, pipeline development, forecasting, and growth performance.
  • Cross-functional leadership spanning multiple departments and business priorities.
  • Expected progression from senior individual contributor to direct team leadership as the channel reaches defined scale.

Qualifications
  • Significant experience in managed WiFi, telecommunications, connectivity, proptech, multifamily technology, channel development, or a related market.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling a new business, channel, product category, or go-to-market motion.
  • Experience defining and executing enterprise or multi-region go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong understanding of channel economics, partner models, commercial structures, revenue planning, and pipeline development.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and lead complex initiatives across multiple functions.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Ability to move between high-level strategy and hands-on execution in an early-stage business environment.
  • Strong financial, analytical, communication, and executive-presentation skills.
  • Experience in managed WiFi or a similarly emerging market may be considered in place of a traditional tenure requirement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within multifamily housing, smart buildings, telecommunications, managed services, or property technology.
  • Experience launching a new channel, business unit, or strategic growth initiative.
  • Experience designing operating models, sales processes, partner programs, and performance-management frameworks.
  • Previous people-leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to build and lead a team.
  • Established relationships within the managed WiFi, smart-building, connectivity, or multifamily ecosystem.

Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and will work closely with senior leaders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success.
Initial Team Structure
The role will begin without direct reports and will lead through cross-functional influence and accountability. As the managed WiFi channel achieves agreed revenue, partner, and operational milestones, the role is expected to build and lead a dedicated team. The timing, size, and structure of that team will be determined through the annual planning and investment process.

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.
