Job description

Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Network Security Analyst to join their cybersecurity team. The role involves monitoring, analyzing, and protecting the organization's network infrastructure against potential threats and vulnerabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall network security posture.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor network traffic for anomalies
• Investigate and resolve security incidents
• Maintain and update security systems
• Generate and analyze security reports
• Assist in developing incident response plans
• Ensure adherence to security policies
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI Full Poly clearance (requires full U.S. Citizenship)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Proficiency in monitoring tools like IDS/IPS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS)
• Knowledge of malware analysis tools
• Ability to interpret security logs
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools
• Monitor network traffic for anomalies
• Investigate and resolve security incidents
• Maintain and update security systems
• Generate and analyze security reports
• Assist in developing incident response plans
• Ensure adherence to security policies
Preferred:
• Experience with advanced threat detection
• Knowledge of forensics methodologies
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Experience with SOC workflows
• Familiarity with automation and scripting
• Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms
