Job Title: SAP IS-U ABAP Developer – S/4HANA, BTP & Fiori
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90013 – Hybrid
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ABAP, BTP, and Fiori to support SAP Utilities applications and business-critical solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, enhancing, integrating, and supporting SAP IS-U solutions in an S/4HANA environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP IS-U solutions using ABAP and S/4HANA.
  • Develop custom programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows using ABAP/ABAP OO.
  • Work with SAP BTP services for integrations, extensions, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and user interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain CDS Views, OData services, APIs, and integration components.
  • Work on SAP IS-U modules including Customer Service, Device Management, Billing, Invoicing, and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA).
  • Integrate SAP IS-U with external systems using APIs, OData, web services, IDocs, and other integration technologies.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
  • Perform debugging, performance tuning, unit testing, and production support.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, architects, and other technical teams.
  • Participate in S/4HANA transformation, modernization, and migration initiatives.
  • Prepare technical specifications, development documentation, and support deployment activities.
  • Follow SAP development standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development.
  • Experience with SAP IS-U / SAP Utilities.
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with SAP BTP and cloud-based extensions/integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAPUI5.
  • Experience with CDS Views, OData, REST APIs, and Web Services.
  • Strong understanding of ABAP Objects, enhancements, BAdIs, exits, and debugging.
  • Experience with SAP integration technologies such as IDoc, RFC, APIs, and middleware.
  • Good understanding of SAP Utilities business processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities implementations or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of FI-CA, Billing, Device Management, and Customer Service.
  • Experience with SAP BTP Extension Suite and Integration Suite.
  • Experience with RAP/CDS-based development.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
