You will serve as an Electronics Engineer within the Naval Research Laboratory.

Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.Qualifications:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/13 grade level or NP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties:
1) Organizing, directing, and motivating a diverse technical staff in operating and managing a major hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) laboratory simulation facility across multiple research and development projects; 2) Formulating, developing, and presenting strategic proposals, technical specifications, and resource plans for major laboratory simulation facility upgrades to senior leadership; 3) Applying advanced radio frequency (RF) and digital control system principles to evaluate Electronic Warfare system performance within a hardware-in-the-loop simulation environment; 4) Operating and integrating general-purpose laboratory instrumentation equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to verify system performance; and 5) Communicating complex technical concepts, project status, and operational decisions through technical reports, executive briefings, and written documentation.

Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must meet the specialized experience requirement below:
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NP-03 pay band (GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent private sector experience. Specialized experience is defined as non-routine professional engineering work that required comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of mathematical, physical, and engineering sciences applicable to the specialty field and the demonstrated ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts, theories, and practices to achieve complex engineering objectives.
