Food Expeditor — The Quarterback of Chaos
Hash House A Go Go | Where Farm Food Meets a Rock 'n' Roll Kitchen
At Hash House A Go Go, we don't do anything small — our plates are massive, our flavors are bold, and our team? Absolutely legendary. We're looking for a Food Expeditor who thrives in the beautiful madness of a high-energy kitchen and can keep the show running like a well-oiled cast iron skillet.
If you're the kind of person who loves being right in the middle of the action, communicates like a pro, and takes pride in getting every epic dish out hot, accurate, and on time — we need you on our team.
What You'll Be Doing
You're the bridge between our rock star kitchen crew and our front-of-house team. You keep the rhythm, you call the plays, and you make sure every guest gets exactly what they came for.
- Keep orders flowing smoothly from the floor to the kitchen — no bottlenecks on your watch
- Make sure dishes are fired in the right priority so every table stays happy
- Jump in on final dish prep when the kitchen needs a hand
- Inspect every plate before it leaves — correct order, beautiful presentation, perfect temperature
- Run food to tables to keep the pace fast and the energy high
- Spot and eliminate obstacles in service, food prep lines, or the dish pit before they become a problem
- Keep communication sharp between the kitchen and wait staff — special requests, allergies, VIPs, you've got it covered
- Uphold our quality and sanitation standards — inspect, clean, repeat
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and a smile — you're protecting the Hash House reputation
- Pitch in wherever needed, whether that's phone orders or supporting the team through the rush
What You Bring to the Table
- Previous experience as a food expeditor or in a restaurant role (you know how this world works)
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and food handling standards
- Comfortable with kitchen equipment and can carry heavy trays without breaking a sweat
- Organized, focused, and able to lead people through a fast-paced environment
- Communicate clearly and calmly — even when the tickets are stacking up
- A true team player with serious multi-tasking skills
- Guest-first mindset, always
- The stamina to stay on your feet and keep moving through a full, high-energy shift
- High school diploma required; a degree in hospitality or related field is a bonus
- Food handling certification may be required based on local regulations
