Job description

Robin’s Nest Rescue is a nonprofit sanctuary where rescued animals and people heal together through science-based, animal-assisted programming. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented volunteer to support our grant development efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and identifying potential grant and funding opportunities
  • Summarizing grant guidelines, deadlines, and requirements
  • Communicating and coordinating with grant writer(s)
  • Supporting internal tracking and organization of grant prospects

Qualifications:

  • Interest in nonprofit work, animal welfare, or mental health programming
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Grant experience helpful but not required
  • Please note if you have grant-writing experience

Additional Information:

  • This is an unpaid volunteer position with potential to evolve into a paid role
  • Work is primarily virtual; an on-site visit is encouraged to experience the sanctuary
  • Three references required.

Volunteer Grant Management Support

Robin’s Nest Rescue is a nonprofit animal sanctuary and healing center where rescued animals and people come together through science-based, animal-assisted programming. We are seeking a motivated volunteer to assist with grant management and funding research.

Time Commitment:

Approximately five (5) hours per week. Work may be completed virtually, though we strongly encourage an on-site visit to experience the sanctuary environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research grant and funding opportunities aligned with our mission
  • Summarize grant requirements, deadlines, and funding priorities
  • Communicate and collaborate with grant writer(s) and internal team members
  • Support organization and tracking of grant prospects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in nonprofit development, animal welfare, or mental health services
  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
  • Grant experience is a plus but not required
  • Please indicate if you have experience writing grants

Position Details:

This is an unpaid volunteer position with the potential to grow into a paid role as the organization expands. Three references are required.
