Job description
AWS Data Engineer
Location: Houston
Contract: 12–18 months
Working Pattern: Onsite
Rate: Competitive
We are working with a leading energy trading firm that is looking for a Python Data Engineer to work on its post-trade system. This is a greenfield project, and experience with Databricks or Snowflake would be highly beneficial.
Requirements-
Strong hands-on experience as an AWS Data Engineer

Advanced Python and SQL
-
Proven experience building and supporting complex ETL/ELT pipelines and data platforms

Strong experience with AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda and Redshift

Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake
-
Experience with data modelling, integration and large-scale data environments
-
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code
-
Previous experience within financial services, commodities or trading
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
