Position Overview

Our client is seeking experienced Trial Technicians / Hot-Seat Operators for upcoming trial, arbitration, hearing, and war room support projects.

This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience presenting exhibits, managing trial presentation software, supporting attorneys during live proceedings, troubleshooting courtroom technology, and helping trial teams stay organized and prepared.

Responsibilities

• Provide live hot-seat trial presentation support in court, arbitration, or hearing settings
• Display exhibits, documents, images, deposition clips, demonstratives, and video evidence
• Support attorneys during witness examinations, openings, closings, and evidence presentation
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot courtroom technology and presentation systems
• Work with trial presentation platforms such as OnCue, TrialDirector, TrialPad, or similar tools
• Coordinate monitors, laptops, document cameras, video playback, HDMI routing, and other AV equipment
• Assist with war room setup, equipment deployment, and daily technical support when needed
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, paralegals, litigation support teams, court staff, and vendors
• Remain calm, organized, and solution-focused under live trial pressure

Ideal Experience

• Prior trial technician, hot-seat operator, litigation support, or courtroom AV experience
• Experience with OnCue, TrialDirector, TrialPad, or similar trial presentation software
• Strong understanding of exhibit presentation, document callouts, and deposition video playback
• Familiarity with courtroom AV, monitors, laptops, projectors, TVs, document cameras, cables, adapters, and display systems
• Ability to troubleshoot quickly and professionally in high-pressure environments
• Strong communication skills and polished courtroom presence
• Ability to work independently and support trial teams with minimal disruption
• Flexibility for project-based schedules, including early mornings, long trial days, and occasional travel
