Ram Lumber

RAM Lumber is seeking an additional CDL Driver who will be responsible for safely operating a straight truck to transport flatbed freight on local routes typically under 100 miles. This role includes ensuring accurate delivery management, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. The driver will also handle the unloading of materials with a moffett forklift, interact professionally with customers, and manage all necessary documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight truck to transport flatbed freight on local routes
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Navigate routes efficiently and verify loads
• Manage timely delivery and customer interactions
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain logs and accurate records of trips and deliveries
• Assist with loading and unloading of freight
• Report vehicle maintenance needs and manage fuel efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in commercial driving
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Vehicle inspection and safety awareness skills
• Strong time management and record keeping abilities
• Effective communication skills
• Forklift operating experience is a plus
