The RN Intensive Care Unit nurse provides specialized care for critically ill patients within a medium-sized ICU team. Reporting to the ICU Nurse Manager, this role involves continuous patient monitoring, ventilator support, medication administration, and emergency response across varying shifts including nights, days, and weekends. The nurse ensures comprehensive care planning, accurate documentation using standard hospital systems, and effective communication with both the care team and patients’ families.

Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously
- Administer medications accurately and safely
- Provide ventilator support and manage respiratory care
- Respond promptly to emergencies and critical changes
- Develop and update individualized care plans
- Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments to guide care
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members
- Implement strict infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in intensive care nursing - floating not included
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- CCRN certification
- Proficient in patient assessment and critical care nursing
- Experience with ventilator management and medication administration
- Skilled in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Strong team collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
