Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and family psychotherapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address a variety of mental health concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to complex grief issues common in hospice care.
• Utilize psychological assessments and tools to comprehensively evaluate client needs, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing tailored treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique situation.
• Facilitate crisis intervention services as necessary, which includes performing thorough suicide risk assessments, and coordinating necessary interventions or hospitalizations when required.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other mental health professionals, ensuring a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions and services delivered, utilizing our digital record-keeping system to enhance compliance and quality control.
• Participate in the development and application of clinical policies, ensuring that our practices remain aligned with current mental health standards and regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending staff meetings, training sessions, and pursuing educational opportunities that enhance your skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW at Questa Behavioral Health Center will primarily work with clients facing the emotional and psychological challenges associated with end-of-life issues and chronic illness. Understanding the complexities of grief, loss, and mental health in this sensitive population is crucial. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, demanding a culturally competent approach to care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current LCSW license valid in the state of Arizona.
• A minimum of two years of documented clinical experience providing mental health services.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with strong skills in engaging with clients and collateral support systems.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on client-centered outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in hospice or palliative care settings is highly desirable.
• Background working with grief and loss, especially in end-of-life scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of cultures and communities.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Compensation and Benefits
