PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
Our client is seeking a Project Accountant to join their growing accounting team in Norcross, GA.
This position will work onsite for the first six months to ensure a successful onboarding and training experience. Following that period, employees may transition to a hybrid schedule with up to two remote days per week.

Position Summary
The Project Accountant will be responsible for project-based accounting activities, job costing, fixed asset accounting, month-end close responsibilities, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, project accounting, and construction-related accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Own monthly job cost reporting for all active projects
• Monitor and maintain Construction-in-Progress (CIP) schedules
• Communicate with operational departments regarding project capitalization and asset activation
• Prepare monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses with supporting narratives
• Track and collect lien waivers for capital expenditure and construction projects
• Review and approve project-related invoices within the AP system
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate monthly depreciation
• Prepare quarterly fixed asset roll-forward schedules
• Assist with monthly P&L reviews and financial reporting
• Perform escrow account and cash reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month-end close activities
• Assist with special projects and process improvements
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (ERP) experience REQUIRED
• Month-end close experience
• Journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Construction industry experience preferred
