Parts Painter

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare aviation instruments, panels, bezels, housings, and accessories for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
- Apply primers and specialty coatings using spray equipment and other painting tools after completing training.
- Mix paints and coatings following established procedures and work instructions.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, consistency, and proper finish.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate painting equipment, booths, and curing ovens safely while following company procedures.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- No previous aerospace painting experience required—we provide on-the-job training.
- Experience in painting, manufacturing, automotive, construction, or other hands-on work is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow written instructions and established processes.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using hand tools or working in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience in painting or finishing is helpful but not required.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a controlled manufacturing and paint booth environment.
- Exposure to paints, solvents, and coatings while using required PPE.
- Requires standing for extended periods and handling small precision components.

Our headquarters QAI Aerospace is an FAA and EASA certified repair station with aircraft instruments, limited avionics, and accessories ratings. QAI Aerospace specializes in the repair of aircraft instruments, avionics, and accessories. The company was founded in 1997 and is located at 903 McKee Rd., White Oak, PA 15131.
QAI also has a sister company (QAI Aviation) which operates out of both the Allegheny County and Rostraver Airport. QAI Aviation is an FAA certified repair station that has the capabilities to complete avionics installations, upgrades, maintenance and repairs for both fixed wing and rotor wing aircrafts.
