Job description

Grinder Operator - Join Our Stable, Growing Company
Join the QQE team as a Grinder Operator and play an essential role in transforming raw materials into high-precision components used by our customers. In this hands-on position, you'll operate cutting and grinding equipment, work with automation technology, and ensure the accuracy and quality of every part produced. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and take pride in precision, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
  • Interpret engineering drawings, routers, blueprints, and work orders to determine the correct sequence of operations
  • Monitor and record key dimensions throughout production
  • Use a wet tile saw to cut raw materials to the required length
  • Seam parts to customer specifications using a belt grinder
  • Operate and manage an automated grinding machine and conveyor system
  • Inspect parts using calipers and micrometers to verify accuracy
  • Clean and visually inspect finished parts for surface-quality standards
  • Prepare machinery for daily operation and ensure equipment is clean and accessible
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring
Education & Knowledge
  • Previous manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Basic math skills
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers (preferred)

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong decision-making and time-management skills
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills for interacting with supervisors and engineers
  • Ability to maintain a 5S workspace free of dust and scrap

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and to stand for extended periods
