Job description

Ready to lead a precision CNC team in aerospace?

If you’re fluent in multi-axis milling, energized by shop-floor coaching, and at home in AS9100/FAA-regulated work, this role is for you. You’ll run daily operations for a CNC milling area, guiding people and processes to hit schedule, cost, and quality targets—while elevating reliability and continuous improvement.

Is this you?
  • Enjoy mentoring machinists, programmers, and technicians—and holding a high bar for safety, quality, and results.
  • Thrive on solving complex machining puzzles and streamlining flow with Lean thinking.
  • Partner naturally across Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to launch products and resolve nonconformances quickly.
What you’ll own
  • Team leadership: Train, coach, and develop shop talent; build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Operational delivery: Run daily CNC milling operations to the plan, meeting schedule, cost, and aerospace-grade quality goals.
  • Quality and compliance: Apply and maintain AS9100, FAA, and internal procedures so every part meets spec.
  • Process optimization: Lead Lean/5S efforts; remove bottlenecks; tackle advanced machining challenges on multi-axis equipment.
  • Asset care: Oversee performance, preventative maintenance, and upgrade recommendations to maximize uptime.
  • Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on NPI, process capability, and NCR/MRB resolution; align with Supply Chain on materials readiness.
  • Reporting and materials: Track KPIs, keep accurate shop-floor records, and manage inventory and materials flow.
What you bring
  • 10+ years CNC machining experience; aerospace preferred.
  • 2+ years supervising in a machining setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of CNC milling, multi-axis machining, and aerospace-grade materials/tooling.
  • Expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision machining standards.
  • Working mastery of AS9100 requirements and FAA compliance.
  • Analytical problem-solver with strong troubleshooting and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent communicator and organizer.
Bonus points
  • Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma experience.
  • ERP/MRP proficiency and familiarity with production reporting tools.
  • Hands-on, mechanically savvy leadership style.
Why you’ll love it
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid holidays and vacation
  • Clear pathways for advancement in a growing company
