These designations help clients meet their diversity spending objectives, while also providing sustainable returns for 13,600 Iñupiat shareholders.DESCRIPTION/SUMMARYHavertown, PA This position is primarily responsible for ensuring quality control during field work implementation and associated report development to fully address the scope of work on construction, treatment plant (Groundwater, wastewater) remediation installation projects in accordance with USACE or DOD standards, regulatory criteria, and contractual obligations. This position is principally a field role.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIESConstruction QC Engineer II typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:Report to the field to perform, inspect, and/or oversee fieldworkOversee and review work of personnel, subcontractors and consultants to ensure compliance with approved plans and acceptable tolerancesEnsure that appropriate and required testing is completed by qualified personnel using properly calibrated equipmentAssure compliance with contract requirements and thoroughly understand the measurement & payment of each item of workWith Project Controls support, ensure prompt preparation of the work progress estimates and track pay quantity records and maintain proper documentationEvaluate, review, monitor and document results and help make necessary decisions/ adjustments to proceduresConsult and collaborate work with Project Manager, Superintendent, as well as Health and Safety, Quality Control, Project Controls, Estimating, and Contracts representatives to ensure work is conducted according to approved plans, GES standards, regulatory criteria, and contractual obligationsPlan, prepare and issue project and field submittals within approved budget including but not limited to various QC reportsApply industry standards of practice for selected technology, adhering to regulatory codes and standards, national/ local standards, and company SOPsParticipates in team project meetingsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEThis position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management or related field from an accredited institution.Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.Engineering, quality, or environmental credential (e.g., EIT, CQA, EPI) - or - PE license or ability to attain during tenure in this positionHAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification with current 8 Hour RefresherUSACE Contractor Quality Management for Contractors certificationA minimum of 5 years of experience required; two years or more of progressively responsible experience performing field QC on construction and treatment plant installation projectsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESUnderstands a full range of principles, terms, procedures, and practices of pertinent engineering field(s) and applies engineering principles appropriately on multiple projects at same timeThe ability to communicate in written or verbal formats with diplomacy and tact; Strong technical writing skillsAn aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoningStrong organizational skills, and skilled at leading dispersed teams to accomplish tasks and activities adhering to established budget and scheduleSkilled in achieving project objectives by properly reviewing/ inspecting work for adherence to approved technical plans, drawings and specificationsDemonstrated knowledge applying engineering standards of practice and regulatory codes and standards to environmental and field techniquesProven knowledge in reading and comprehending client requirements, technical plans, specifications, and related technical documentationSuccessful track record in effectively engaging with subcontractorsAbility to mentor and guide team members and share lessons learnedEmbrace feedback as a tool for learning and professional developmentDedicated to remaining abreast of technology developments and industry trendsCompetent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and WindowsBENEFITSCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusesComprehensive health insuranceRetirement savings plan with company matchProfessional development and continuing education opportunitiesFlexible work environment and work-life balanceEEO STATEMENT:ASRC Industrial (AIS) and its operating companies affords equal opportunity in employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, pregnancy, familial status, disability status, veteran status, citizenship status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected under Federal, State or Local law.
