Canyon Road Veterinary Hospital | High-Volume, High-Impact Medicine
Canyon Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian who thrives in surgery and has a true passion for dentistry. If you are energized by a busy caseload, confident in the surgical suite, and motivated to elevate the standard of dental care in a thriving hospital, we would love to connect.
We are a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service hospital in Puyallup, WA, known for providing high-quality, compassionate care to a loyal and growing client base. Our next doctor will play a key role in expanding and strengthening our surgical and dental services.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for a veterinarian who:
  • Is confident performing soft tissue surgeries independently
  • Has experience with dentistry, including extractions (simple and surgical)
  • Enjoys building a strong surgical and dental caseload
  • Thrives in a busy environment and values efficiency without compromising quality
  • Wants to collaborate with an experienced, supportive medical team
  • Orthopedic experience is a plus, but strong soft tissue surgical skills and dental proficiency are essential.

Your Impact Here
You will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead and grow our dental services
  • Perform a wide range of soft tissue procedures
  • Work up and manage complex medical and surgical cases while having the opportunity to discuss with a second vet. Our current chief of staff has over 20 years of clinical experience, including 18 years of emergency medicine.
  • Help shape protocols and elevate standards of care
  • Mentor support staff in surgical and dental best practices

Our medical team brings over 50 years of combined experience, creating a collaborative environment where high-level medicine and teamwork go hand in hand.
Why Canyon Road?
  • Loyal, engaged clientele who trust our recommendations
  • High surgical and dental demand-your skills will be fully utilized
  • A tight-knit team culture with a high supportive staff to Dr. ratio so you can focus on the doctor's tasks
  • Balanced scheduling that respects your time and prevents burnout
  • A growing hospital with room for professional influence and leadership

Why Puyallup?
Located in the heart of Pierce County, Puyallup offers:
  • More affordable housing compared to nearby metro areas
  • Excellent schools and beautiful parks
  • A vibrant downtown with locally owned shops and standout restaurants
  • The iconic annual Washington State Fair
  • Easy access to outdoor recreation, hiking, and the Pacific Northwest lifestyle

It's a community where you can build both a thriving career and a fulfilling life.
Compensation & Benefits
  • ProSal compensation model
  • Base salary: $130,000 - $160,000 (DOE)
  • Quarterly production bonus (no negative accrual)
  • Relocation assistance available
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401(k)
  • Generous PTO
  • Professional association dues
  • Annual CE allowance
  • Employee discounts and additional perks

If you're an experienced veterinarian ready to make a meaningful surgical and dental impact in a busy, growing hospital, we'd love to start the conversation.
