Job description

Push Pedal Pull is hiring a Commercial Field Service Technician in the Denver, Colorado area. This individual must also be a self-starter, as the position allows you to make your own schedule while working in the field opposed, to an office. A Field Service Technician is responsible for the following: repair and maintenance work on fitness equipment in the market area, develops and maintains Preventive Maintenance Agreements (PMA), assists in deliveries of product sold by Push Pedal Pull in the market area and promotes the sale of Push Pedal Pull product lines in the market area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Schedule service repair work to be completed in a timely manner for commercial clients
  • Develop/Maintain a customer base by regularly calling and following up on potential customers to include health clubs, YMCAs, community fitness centers, hospitals, wellness centers, nursing homes, high schools, colleges, hotels, major businesses, government entities, etc.
  • Service and repair fitness products to include treadmills, ellipticals, climbers, stationary bikes, weight machines, etc.
  • Prepare and submit work orders to the Corporate office in a timely manner for customer invoicing.
  • Maintain Company vehicle and tools through periodic inspection and service. Keep same clean and organized at all times, no smoking in or around van.
  • Monitor an inventory of parts in warehouse and service vehicle and supplies and orders same on a timely basis.
  • Maintain a technical proficiency level with old and new machines through training, reading manuals, networking with other PPP techs and manufacturing reps.
  • Create and maintain optimal rapport with customer base.
  • Regularly communicate with Corporate office staff on issues of mutual interest.
  • Refer potential customer leads to PPP Commercial Sales Representative.
  • Return all phone calls from customers promptly -- within 24 hours.
  • Process warranty claim forms and receive packages and returns parts to vendors as required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Minimum of 12 months as a Field Service Technician preferably working with Fitness equipment or products of equivalent or greater complexity.
  • Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • Daily local travel is required.
  • Occasionally overnight or weekend work may be required.
  • Working around customer's schedules will require flexibility of working hours of both start and end times during a typical work period.
  • Equipment to be serviced will be located in Public corporate and private fitness centers. Occasionally it will necessary to service equipment in private residences.
  • Will spend approximately 60%-70% in the field performing service duties and 30%-40% performing office responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Light to moderate physical effort in corporate and commercial Fitness center environments. Lifting and carrying of parts / products is required.
  • Must be able to handling/moving equipment and lifting up to 100 lbs.
  • Bending, lifting, squatting are necessary to deliver, set-up and repair fitness equipment in all types of gym-like environments is required.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
  • Must maintain neat, clean appearance.

PAY:
  • $20-$24 per hour, based on experience with potential to earn commission
