Job description
Resulting from aggressive business growth and expansion my client has asked me to identify a highly visible Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer. This growth company is a leading valves manufacturer for the military & defense/aerospace industry. Because this is a high-profile role and due to its importance to the overall organization this person will be earmarked for promotion. Base salary for this role will likely be in the $130K-$140K range plus bonuses, location is Orange County.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the design and development of mechanical and fluid system components, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth product transitions. Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for modeling, drafting, and detailing mechanical designs. Lead R&D initiatives Conduct detailed engineering analyses including structural, thermal, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessments to validate performance. Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide design leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
