Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, ensuring the development of tailored treatment plans that align with their individual needs.

• Craft individualized treatment plans that directly address each client's unique challenges and recovery goals, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide therapy sessions effectively.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic methodologies while being adaptive to the specific dynamics of each group.

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to deliver cohesive care that enhances client outcomes.

• Educate and support clients' families, nurturing a collaborative approach to the recovery process that ensures their involvement remains integral and informative.

• Maintain precise and confidential records of client interactions in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Prosperity Medical Group, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions. We emphasize culturally competent care, recognizing the varied backgrounds and experiences of our clients in our approach to treatment.

Qualifications

• A valid and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.

• At least two years of hands-on experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a track record of successful client interactions.

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices for mental health issues and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster strong therapeutic relationships and collaborative teamwork.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of experience in mental health counseling, candidates with a background in hospice care or palliative support will be given preference. Candidates who demonstrate a willingness to engage in continuous education and specialized training in mental health topics will also be advantageous.
