Job description
We are looking for a Property Management Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
- Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
- Billing quarterly and annual CAM reconciliations, tax and insurance billings to tenants
- Responsible for daily accurate bank deposits, posting of tenant rents, etc.
- Meeting several monthly deadlines for financial reports
- Maintaining well organized paper records of all accounting transactions
- AP/AR for all 14 commercial properties in the company's portfolio
- Back up for phones when needed. Handling all tenant/owner billing/financialmkkkkkkk inquiries.
- Handling both month end and year end closings
- Producing annual 1099-NEC filings for vendors employed at properties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Willingness to look outside the box to solve complex issues when necessary
- Possess a team player mentality as we are a small office that relies on each other to meet our owners expectations.
- Willingness to learn all aspects of the position and become a long term key player in the organization
