DescriptionJob Summary:Manage and handle the day-to-day operations of five military base electronic computer-based testing sites. Administer eCBT College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DSST and Pearson Vue exams to eligible military and civilian students. Prepare and maintain testing and financial records and reports.
Location: Open to Oahu based applicants with access to U.S. military bases and testing centers.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- One year general office experience providing customer service and managing multiple projects independently (or in a team environment)
- Reliable personal transportation to facilitate travel to and between military bases and Main Campus
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to obtain personal military credentials for access to U.S. military bases
Desired Qualifications:- Experience with computer information systems and /or computer-based testing
- Experience in military education or computer test center administration
- Ability to perform weekend/holiday work and overtime
Other Qualifications:- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance is not available for this position.
- Report to work obligations in support of the department and may require work during HPU's winter break, if necessary.
- Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
- Upon hire, candidate must have reliable personal transportation to facilitate travel between and to all HPU worksites and other locations as required by the position. This includes a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle that is legally registered and insured.
- Able to work all shifts and extended hours.
- Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilize excellent time and stress management skills.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:1. Management of eCBT National Test Centers(80%)- Work with IT Technical Analysts with installation and maintenance of CLEP/DSST, and Pearson Vue Professional Certification Tests in support of Test Delivery Management System (TMDS) software, server, and client computer systems
- Troubleshoot site computer systems and internet connectivity to ensure both are operational prior to test program startup
- Check for testing package updates an install as necessary
- Enter/edit student registrations and collect payments
- Present test introduction and provide students with test-related materials
- Brief students on test procedures before starting the exam
- Assist student with computer system or workstation configuration
- Monitor/Proctor examinations as set by College Board, Prometric, and Pearson
- Prepare and track eCBT student registrations, scoresheets, attendance, and irregularity reports
- Maintain student test records per University, Education Center, and College Board policies and regulations
- Liaise with other university, military education, or College Board entities to ensure office procedures satisfy operational requirements
- Prepare office/testing lab to ensure optimum test environment
- Ensures all office administrative functions and processing are completed accurately and on time
- Protect the security of all tests and ancillary materials and equipment furnished by Hawaii Pacific University, the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the Base Education Center
- Report security breaches to appropriate agencies within 24 hours of detection
- Provide customer service to students of the university and non-students
2. Generate Reports, Memos, and other Administrative Duties (10%)- Maintain recap record of all monetary transactions
- Prepare monthly reports for ESO and military branch education specialist
- Manage National Testing Center supply inventory
- Receive, record, and monitor computer usage
- Develop computer backup procedures and ensure backup is run on a timely basis
- Maintain professional working relationships with University, ETS, and base Education Center staff personnel
- Reconcile eCBT documents with registration forms
- Provide updates to supervisor, base staff, and Education Center staff of any policy or procedural changes
3. Marketing and Advertisements (5%)- Distribute CLEP, DSST, and Pearson Vue flyers and leaflets. Assist MCP staff with CLEP-related promotions and advertising.
- Prepare and present briefs on benefits of electronic computer based testing
- Assist Base Education Center staff with eCBT -focused marketing events and materials
4. Performs other related duties as assigned (5%)- Actively participates as an effective member of team by completing assigned duties, accepting additional assignments or reassignments.
- Assists with seasonal peaks.
