Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Reports To
Physical Therapist / Director of Rehabilitation
Job SummaryProvides therapy services under supervision of PT. Delivers treatment programs, monitors progress, and assists patients in achieving independence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Carry out PT treatment plans for individuals and groups.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities as directed.
- Educate patients on mobility and assistive devices.
- Document treatment and patient response.
- Report changes to supervising PT.
- Associate's Degree from accredited PTA program.
- Current state PTA license.
- Clinical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of therapy techniques and equipment.
- Ability to follow treatment directions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients safely.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching.
- Work in long-term care and healthcare environments.
