Role Description This full-time, on-site Project Engineer role is based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area and supports the successful execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The Project Engineer assists with project planning, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure milestones are met. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, tracking RFIs and submittals, monitoring progress against budgets and timelines, and supporting quality control and safety standards on-site. The role requires regular communication with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to resolve issues, manage changes, and ensure accurate documentation. The Project Engineer also helps identify technical solutions, supports value engineering, and contributes to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills to interpret technical documents, support design coordination, and troubleshoot field issues.
  • Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to help develop schedules, track budgets, manage resources, and support timely project delivery.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, and to produce clear reports and documentation.
  • Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in construction projects.
  • Beneficial experience includes familiarity with commercial and residential construction, proficiency with project management and scheduling software, understanding of building codes, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
